BMW M3 GTR e46 – Display/Diecast model car – STL file

General details:

• The STL file is set to scale 1/20
  But you can build it in any size you want!
• Length ~230 mm.
• Wheelbase: 136,5 mm
• Model is available in two main pieces or in one, if you want to print it in one piece.
  So first option Does require assembly!
• Rims are replicas of the original racing BBS-RE594 in smaller size
• The wheels connecting to the chassis also with snap in pins and they can ROTATE!
• Chassis is connecting to the body with 4 snap in pins
• The original front grille has 10 grid each sides.
  (It is only with resin printer printable. With FDM only a 6 grid grille is printable.
  You’ll find both versions in the downloaded folder)
• Tires are separate from the Rims
• Designed in Blender

3D Printing instructions:

• Body part STL files are designed for FDM printing. (except authentic grille…)
• Print bed needed for 1/20th scale: 200x200mm
• Infill: 20%
• Layer height: 0,2 mm
• Print Speed: 40-60 mm/s
• Noozle diameter: 0,4 mm
• Support: files need some support
• Material: PLA, ABS (we printed with PLA)
• Cooling Fan Speed: PLA 100%, ABS LOW or OFF to prevent warping
• Extruder (Hot End) Temperature: PLA (190-220°C), ABS (220-250°C)
• Bed Temperature: PLA (50-60°C), ABS (90-110°C)
• Bed Adhesion: 3DLAC Spray adhesive (For perfect adhesion to the printing bed and to avoid warping)
• We printed the body with PLA filament because we aimed for low shrinkage,
  if you have an enclosed printer, using ABS should not be a problem
• Neither Rafts nor Brims needed for printing
• Slicing made with Prusa Slicer

We 3D printed it with an Ender 3 V2 Neo

Display/Diecast STL files are optimized for 1/20th model! You can attempt to resize for different display scale.
However, you will / might need to modify the downloaded digital file for correct proportions and fit!
