New RC Car Chassis Features
1. NEW printable rc chassis Front Bumpers
We created two brand new front bumpers for our 3D-printed RC Car Chassis DESTINY (on road electric rear 2WD). One is a bit bigger, the other is smaller. Recommended to 3d print them out with TPE!
(TPE is a rubber like material, which is a bit pricier than usual printing materials like ABS, PLA or other most common filaments.)
This feature protects the chassis from any frontal hits it would get while playing with DESTINY!
A brand new video will soon be available about these new features on our YouTube channel!
2. NEW rc chassis SUSPENSION.
The new design does not require any screw inside the suspension. The previous design was made in a way that it required an M3 screw inside it. It needed to hold the spring within the absorber frame. Now there is no need for that, from here on out you can use this design!
You only need to 3d-print the suspension and it is good to go! Afterwards you apply a little glue, then twist the parts together. Lastly, just fix the absorber system with two M3 screws to the chassis.
3. NEW Bolted rc chassis Turnbuckle.
Our 3D-fabricated Rc Chassis Turnbuckle design got much better! We were not really paying attention to the simplicity of using M3 screws here at the turnbuckles as well. The previous solution was including either a cut M3 threaded rod or a decapeteted M3 screw. From now on you can just simply put a screw inside it! This way we can reduce the building time of this chassis, not to mention the option not to buy threaded rods…
4. NEW Adjustable rc car chassis Steering Side piece.
If you follow us you know that the old steering side models (which you can of course still download) were fix sized. They were only good for one particular front track setting. With this new feature you do not need to print other steering sides! You can use this one, only adjust its length by twisting.
This new composition not only simplifies the Toe-in/Toe-out function setup but also makes it easier to achieve a cooler wheel angle. (Toe angle refers to the angle of the wheels when viewed from directly above.) Furthermore, if you scroll back to number 3, you’ll notice how effectively this innovative solution integrates with our chassis model.
You can use an M3 threaded rod, cut a screw head or get a M3 Hexagon Socket Set Screw just like the one above!
5. NEW rc chassis Middle Bracket Mounting System
To print this new Middle Mounting System your printer will not use any supports! This new model is set to be printed in an orientation which is best for strength. As you know from our videos, we alway have to go for strength! Because when the chassis is getting a hit in the frontal section, this piece is taking most of the force from the collision. Naturally, you can still download the previous designs as they are still among DESTINY’s files.
In truth, we recommed building your rc chassis with this one! Magnets are still here just as they were applied in the latter models.
6. NEW adjustable rc chassis CONNECTING PART.
Inside the base elements folder there is this genious wheelbase setter! We have many Connecting Parts which sizes are fixed. We would still recommend using those parts if you intend to use DESTINY under a single body. On the other hand, when using this chassis with multiple RC body kits, this part will significantly ease your chassis morphosis sections.
You can lego out your wheelbase easily, with below list, these four new STL pieces are now part of DESITNY!
- Connecting_part_ADJ_FRONT_WBASE_261-273_HTH_36-48mm
- Connecting_part_ADJ_FRONT_WBASE_273-285_HTH_48-60mm
- Connecting_part_ADJ_REAR_WBASE_261-273_HTH_36-48mm
- Connecting_part_ADJ_REAR_WBASE_273-285_HTH_48-60mm
7. NEW rc chassis Front Suspension Holder.
ON COMMUNITY REQUEST!!! There is now a frontal shock absorber holder which is for 60mm hole to hole suspension. The most common/commercially available 1:10 suspension is in the latter mentioned paramaters. Most of our Body Kits won’t tolerate it as it is simly too high for the front section. Anyways there you have it guys!
